Otto Görlich has been a BARC analyst since 2012 and has covered a wide variety of tasks and areas of activity in over 40 years in the IT industry.
This includes the development of software (compilers and operating systems), consulting customers on the use of this software, and supporting data warehouse (DWH) implementations with highly parallel databases such as IBM DB2 (MPP version) with a focus on architecture and performance.
In his role as Senior Analyst Data & Analytics, Otto is focused on data management issues, particularly the evaluation of database management systems and data integration solutions, as well as data and systems architecture.

My dream destinations are the Victoria Falls and Botswana in Southeast Africa.
What was your last job before joining BARC?
At IBM, also called Big BLUE, in the software department as a leading specialist for high end databases and data warehouses.
