5 questions to Annika Baumhecker

What did you want to grow up to be?

A classic: Veterinarian. In the end, my love for data was professionally greater than my love for animals (although the latter will of course always have a place in my heart!).

What’s the coolest thing about your job?

Through the studies I oversee, I am always in touch with the latest developments in the BI & analytics and data management market and am constantly learning. In addition, I can take on responsibility in my job and help shape my tasks and projects.

What’s your next travel destination?

There is one all-time favorite that I have traveled to eight times in the last ten years: The beautiful North Sea island of Borkum. Statistically speaking, there is therefore a very high probability that I will be drawn there again soon. If I do decide to go a little further away, I’d like to go to Sweden or Norway.

What superpower would you choose if you could?

All the obvious stuff aside: A green thumb. I would very much like houseplants and kitchen herbs to do well in my care and not have to keep buying new ones.

How do you like to spend your lunch break?

During my lunch break, I like to be outside in the fresh air with something delicious to eat. When it’s raining, I like to watch an episode of my current Netflix series in the home office.
