Which Topics Resonated Most?
Agentic AI, Data Products, and Data Culture. Our most popular episodes show how organizations are putting these concepts into action. Thanks to all our guests who shared their insights with the community.
Agentic AI
In 2025, the AI conversation has made one thing clear: advanced applications like autonomous agentic systems only succeed when they’re built on quality data. Companies like ZEISS and Salesforce are generating real business value with GenAI and agentic analytics, but as experts Joe Reis and Kevin Petrie have shown, these outcomes depend on strong data quality, governance, and modern engineering practices. The takeaway? You can’t realize AI’s potential without solid data management.

Data Products, Decentralization & Self-Service
How do organizations become data-driven at scale? Common patterns emerge from these conversations: treating data as a product, enabling self-service access, and finding the right balance between centralized and decentralized ownership.
Organizations demonstrate this in practice: Siemens operates 250+ data products for 7,000+ users using a “share-unless principle.” Cambridge University Press & Assessment relies on data marketplaces with clear contracts to enable AI applications. Wayne Eckerson distinguishes between data assets and data products, emphasizing that product management is critical to their value and usability.

Data Culture & Data Literacy
Building a data-driven organization requires focusing on both culture and competence.
The approaches of two different organizations illustrate this principle: NHS Property Services uses a six-pillar framework to shape its data culture, while BASF built a Data and AI Academy to develop employee skills. Different approaches, same lesson: data transformation requires investing in people – their mindset and their capabilities.
