Technology Research Analyst USA (m/f/d)
We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Technology Research Analyst (not a traditional data/business analyst) to join our Enterprise / Corporate Performance Management (CPM) practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth research, feature/function research and producing insightful reports and advising our end-user and vendor clients on strategy. This role requires strong research skills, critical thinking, and the ability to communicate and speak publicly on complex technology and research findings in a clear and concise manner.
About EPM / CPM: Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) or Corporate Performance Management (CPM) involves planning, managing, controlling, and improving business performance at strategic, tactical and operational levels. It uses methods, tools and processes. Leading software tools integrate disciplines such as reporting, analysis, dashboarding, planning, group consolidation and strategy management for holistic business management.
What you'll be working on
- Conduct thorough research on CPM related topics via primary research, vendor technology briefings, product assessment, data analysis, and case studies and attending industry conferences.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to support deep understanding of the CPM industry.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, research notes, and presentations that summarize research findings and insights.
- Monitor industry trends, developments and technology innovations in the CPM market.
- Collaborate with our global research teams and external stakeholders to provide data-driven insights.
- Present findings to customers, partners, publicly at webinars, events and conferences in a professional and engaging manner.
What you offer us
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information technology, data analytics, data management, data science, AI/ML or related fields.
- 3–5 years in CPM/BPM/EPM as an analyst, consultant, vendor employee, or power user.
- Experience in research, data analysis, or report writing.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
- Proven writing and presentation skills; you hit deadlines
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects within deadlines.
- Experience as an end user or with software companies in the CPM industry segment is a plus.
