5 questions to Sophia Rothlauf
What did you want to become growing up?
When I was a child, I desperately wanted to become a writer. My role model was always the German author Cornelia Funke, as I loved her book series “Die wilden Hühner”. Although I didn’t become a bestselling author, I still learned a lot about the writing profession and the publishing industry during my apprenticeship at a children’s book publisher in Würzburg.
What’s the coolest thing about your job at BARC?
When creating websites, you can usually be very creative and incorporate your own ideas into the design. You also learn a lot about programming languages and can apply the knowledge directly.
How long have you been with BARC?
I have been working at BARC since October 2021. At the same time, I also began my studies in “Media Management” at THWS. The content of my studies complements the marketing area at BARC very well.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
I would love to be able to teleport anywhere. Then you could visit so many cities and countries and get to know new cultures. But even without teleporting, I really enjoy traveling.
If you could meet any person living or dead, who would it be and why?
I would love to meet the band Green Day. Even though I don’t listen to their new albums as much anymore, I really loved their songs when I was a teenager. In fact, the band also motivated me to learn how to play the guitar. One of the first songs I could play on the guitar was “Wake Me Up When September Ends” from the album American Idiot.
