Initial Situation: Complex Data from Distributed Locations

JURA Materials Group employs around 500 people across 30 locations in various construction materials sectors. Qlik Sense serves as the central BI solution, providing transparency across different business areas. The challenge was to implement a standardized, best-practice ETL workflow that ensures both efficiency and data quality.

Solution Approach: Standardized ETL Workflow with iVIEW

The company relied on Informatec and the iVIEW Data Automation Framework. The core component was iVIEW Dataflow, a low-code tool that automates the data flow from SAP to Qlik, centrally maps business logic, and enables reusable ETL processes.

The iVIEW for SAP template facilitated the extraction, structuring, and provisioning of SAP FICO data. Implementation and testing took three months, with a focus on validating the data and correctly mapping the complex FICO logic. Data is loaded incrementally once per night, preserving system resources and ensuring high data quality.
