What do you like best?
Tenancy and the enforcement of permissions. I also like their API-first components, which allow us to programmatically run everything we need from a customer-facing product.
What do you like least/what could be improved?
Everything is a black box. It is difficult to see what is going on internally, and the analytics and other components are hard to evaluate or measure. There are also many restrictions that cause issues when building out the model.
What key advice would you give to other companies looking to introduce/use the product?
Make sure you have a good understanding of the modeling structure and design.
How would you sum up your experience?
Overall, our experience is positive, and most of our issues with GoodData are just as much related to our implementation as to the platform itself. Their AI platform would be amazing if they exposed the data to us.

Strong semantic layer, centralized metrics, and reliable dashboard distribution to many users.
What do you like least/what could be improved?
Limited ad hoc exploration: simple tabular data browsing in the UI requires creating a visualization.

Invest time in a good semantic model and clear metric definitions before building dashboards.
How would you sum up your experience?
GoodData is a solid enterprise BI platform for governed reporting, but less flexible for ad hoc analysis by business users.

The ability to embed and white-label is great, and the performance is great. Also, pre-sales support was excellent.
What do you like least/what could be improved?
No ability to model/transform data within the platform. All modelling needs to be done at the data layer.
