Das Produkt umfasst die Bereiche Planung, Budgetierung und Forecasting, Reporting und Analytics. Die Daten und Metadaten von Prophix werden in Microsoft SQL Server gespeichert. Sigma Conso bietet Softwarelösungen für Finanzkonsolidierung und -abschluss, Management Reporting und Intercompany-Abstimmung sowie Speziallösungen für IFRS 16 und iXBRL. Prophix ist eine flexible No-Code-Lösung, die nicht auf ein einzelnes Planungsthema (z.B. Finanzen, Vertrieb, HR, etc.) beschränkt ist. Das Produkt ermöglicht die Erstellung individueller Planungsanwendungen mit Top-Down- und Bottom-Up-Planungsfunktionen, einschließlich Workflow-Funktionen zur Steuerung von Planungsprozessen. Template gets extremely slow when pulling a report with 4 dimensions on the columns. This is somewhat not acceptable since even Excel can handle that much data on a pivot table. We cannot filter on the columns, this is very inconvenient.

It is very flexible in that you can set it up to handle almost any type of analysis that you normally do. You can make design different financial statements, build budgets, forecasts, and cash flow forecasts.

The structure is very complex. It takes a great deal of training to understand how to set up the models just to get the base information structure in place. Building reports also requires training. It would save a lot of time if there were out of box reports that the user could then modify for use.

Power users on the FP&A team (non-IT) can manage almost every aspect of the product use and maintenance. No more long waits and expense related to internal IT or Consultant support. Very easy to train and keep non-financial users engaged. Customer Success Package is very cost efficient - access to a Prophix consultant for a monthly fee to help with new build and best practice. Company personnel are very customer centric. Good culture at the company.

Once in a while, there is a wait to get to a Prophix consultant with very specific technical skills that we need to consult with.

Ask their sales team to do mock-ups in Prophix - that really sealed the deal for us. Seeing our data in Prophix was a game changer. Their sales teams and consultants are accountants, so that makes everything more reliable and believable during the sales process. With any new application, having your data organized before you get to the consultant stage is a must.

Seamless integration with our ERP system completely changed how we plan at our organization. Prior to Prophix, the manual re-keying of data took up most of our time spent on the budget process. Now we can have more insightful conversation and analysis around the budget, increase our frequency of touchpoints with business unit leaders, and decrease the amount of time it takes to produce thoughtful forecast models. Additionally, the ease and standardization of reporting with Prophix has enhanced the quality of our financial reports.

I don't feel that I have tapped into its full potential. There is some functionality that takes specialty knowledge or extra time to explore the possibilities and then the administration of setting it up. Also, with how customizable the software is, sometimes I don't know if I've built the most efficient model.

Put a lot of thought in about reimagining your budget process before going into implementation. The sky is the limit, and we didn't understand exactly how this tool could transform our processes. By simply replacing your current Excel process, you may be losing value that the system is designed to provide easily.

Moving from on-prem to the cloud was forced. The cloud version has certain deficiencies with page views, lack of pinning open menus, etc. That make ease of use diminished and I believe they have a lot of opportunity for improvement.

Prophix is flexible and I've never encountered a situation where we couldn't achieve something we were looking to do. During implementation, you build your cubes and entire system from scratch, giving the administrators hands on knowledge which has helped tremendously. Customer support is quick and helpful. Overall Prophix is a great tool to use and an amazing vendor to work with.

Start with single element and build over time. Don't try to do it all at once. I'm very grateful that we started with financial consolidation first and built the monthly financial reporting a few months later and budgeting a year or so later.

Ease of use for me (not so much for others). The customer support and help is always superb. I like that the templates can refresh every month and I do not have to redo my work every month. Very good at reporting and tracking of historical data.

As a finance manager, I can own and control the software, whereas larger enterprise systems typically require advanced knowledge of SQL or IT personnel to assist with any updates or new developments to a report. The software is cloud-based and relatively easy to use. Prophix provides excellent training and support through their academy as well as a responsive support group one can file help tickets with. I especially like the Detailed Planning Manager module, which I use to budget staff at the employee level and feed both the budget and the projection. I've budgeted in other areas of my organization and Prophix really makes the overall experience faster and easier. Additionally, pulling ad hoc views of financial data couldn't be simpler. You move your dimensions around and you have exactly what you need. There is no need to run queries, it's all right there.

Here are a few things that I dislike: When key updates are rolled out, I think the account manager should directly reach to global administrators because these auto emails can get lost in all the other email updates. I also believe modifications to the front-end experience in process manager would be helpful for organizations that use complex and lengthy processes. When larger projects or integrations with new data are taking place, it is challenging to get time with developers that is not months away. Lastly, dashboard features in Prophix are not quite as advanced as Power BI. However, this is made up for with its superb scenario planning and integration performance.

Ask lots of questions during the implementation phase and understand what level of support you are purchasing. Also, think about where you want to go with your planning and reporting because having a futuristic mindset really helps see the advantages of Prophix!

My overall experience and opinion of Prophix is extremely positive. I'm a global administrator for one of the Prophix environments my company has, and it honestly makes financial planning and reporting a breeze. Certain aspects of the product just don't make sense. For example, if I use the same budget scenario in year two, it overwrites the data from year one. It makes no sense and there is no fix.

At this point, I'm used to it, so I have learned to like it. It has some quirks, but overall, once you understand the structure, it's easy to slice and dice data.

The menus on the cloud - you can't hide them, you can't expand some, it just seems clunky in places where I wouldn't expect it to be. Coming from the on-premise version means I have high expectations.

It is functional and easy to learn. As an administrator, there are a lot of self-service learning tools that alleviate the need for extensive training. The reporting features are very helpful in automatic previously static reports. It is also a great repository for maintaining all your actual, budget, and forecast data in one location.

It can be challenging to troubleshoot data integration services when you are linked to another system. Typically, these issues require support from a Prophix representative. Given the fast-paced nature of my team's work and finance jobs in general, sometimes it doesn't seem like there is time to spare to get some of these issues resolved.

I would recommend it, but I would say to be thoughtful in the model setup process and in determining end users and their level of access. It is important to make sure your data is protected appropriately.
